Moshav Maor was established in 1953 before being abandoned and then re established in 1957. The current population of the small town is several hundred, so the sense of community is quite strong. Moshav Maor has always had strong focus on agriculture and as such the encircling farmland permeates a wonderful rural atmosphere. As such Moshav Maor has become one of the most attractive communities in recent years. The style of the community is quite unique to Israel and after visiting Moshav Maor it is hard not to fall in love with its distinctive charm.
