The town of Atlit was established in 1903 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild; known for founding various neighboring communities such as Zichron Yaacov. The ruins of the citadel built by the crusaders can still be found in Atlit today and provide a great insight into the village's rich history. This small town located near the sea has a population of 4 500 and is close proximity with the Ein Carmel and Neve Yam townships.
