A pastoral, quaint community associated with the Moshav movement, Gan Hashomron is a Moshav near Karkur. Easy access from Gan Hashomron to Israel's center and south via Highway 6. Soon, with the upcoming opening of Section 18 of Highway 6' Gan Hashomron will be very accessible also to the North of Israel. The origin of the name Gan Hashomron is probably a mistake and due to the proximity to the former Arab village of Zamarin or Samarin (Zichron Yaacov of today) which sounded like Samaria (Shomron in hebrew).
